Grants are available to UK based not-for-profit organisations and schools for a broad range of projects and activities that promote a better understanding of the environment and countryside, whilst facilitating improved access, education and research.


Maximum Value:                     £5,000
 

Value Notes

The Trust provided around 400,000 in grants last year.

One-off grants of up to £5,000 per year for up to three years are available.

The Trust will match funds promised by other granting agencies.


Extended Description

The NINEVEH Charitable Trust supports a broad range of UK-based projects and activities of benefit to the general public, with an emphasis on promoting better understanding of the environment and countryside, whilst facilitating improved access, education and research.


Latest Information

Applications can be made at any time and will be considered four times a year.


Key Criteria     

UK registered charities and Community Interest Companies can apply.


Eligible Expenditure

The funding is for charitable projects that meet the Trust's objectives which are:

  • The health, welfare and education of the general public.
  • The study and appreciation of agriculture, horticulture, silviculture and land and estate management.
  • The study and appreciation of ecology and land conservation.
  • The study and appreciation of forms of agricultural practice or land management that would encourage the preservation of the countryside.

Restrictions

The following are not eligible for funding:

  • Expeditions or personal educational needs without a wider benefit.
  • Animal sanctuaries and care.
  • Projects unrelated to the Trust's objects.
  • Organisations based outside the UK.
  • General appeals or mail-shots.
